Édouard Moullé

Eugène-Édouard Moullé (born April 28, 1845 in Paris ; † September 9, 1923 there ) was a French piano maker , composer and publisher.

Moullé took over the piano production from his father Eugène. He produced high quality pianos on a small scale. Moullé was friends with numerous well-known musicians, including Emmanuel Chabrier and Gustave Charpentier , who also played one of his instruments. The folk songs he has collected and published in two extensive volumes are of lasting importance . In 1890 he published a collection of 50 folk songs from Brittany , in 1904 one of 33 Spanish folk songs and in 1910 a volume of love songs from the 17th and 18th centuries. Moullé composed smaller piano pieces and set numerous songs to music.
