coat of arms
Blazon : "In red an upright golden double hook ."
The first print (1495) appears in a certification issued by the mayor and local court. Since then, the unchanged seal image of the double hook (also called "wolf iron" or "wolf angel") has remained, which can be traced back to an old mark . After the introduction of the municipal constitution, the same figure was used in the municipal seals and since around 1825 it has been shown in the form of a coat of arms in an oval shield, which is decorated with a wreath of leaves and palm leaves in keeping with contemporary tastes. In 1901 the colors alluding to the inclined beam coat of arms of Baden were officially approved for the current municipal coat of arms.
