The successes of the Roman offensive against the Parthians under Emperor Septimius Severus culminated in the capture of the Parthian capital, Ctesiphon .
Septimius Severus places the nickname "Parthicus maximus" to and appoints his second son Geta to Caesar .
Empire of China
The Chinese warlord Lu Bu conquered the Xia Pi castle during Liu Bei's absence. Liu Bei then allied himself with the Chinese warlord Cao Cao and besieged the castle. Through a strategy by Guo Jia, the castle is flooded, Lu Bu captured and then executed.
