233rd Panzer Grenadier Division

The 233rd Panzer Grenadier Division was a short-lived large association of the German Wehrmacht during World War II . The division was set up on May 15, 1942 in Frankfurt an der Oder, initially under the designation Division 233 (motorized) . On July 7, 1942, the division was renamed the 233rd Panzer Grenadier Division. Another renaming and reclassification (to a Panzer Division) unit took place on April 5, 1943. On that day, the division was renamed the 233rd Panzer Division .
