- The Romans win the Aeolian Islands . Thermae, the last Carthaginian base on the Sicilian north coast, also became Roman.
- The Roman censors Manius Valerius Maximus Corvinus Messalla and Publius Sempronius Sophus publish a list of senators and have 16 members excluded from the senatorial class.
