  • After further military successes, Philip II has himself officially proclaimed king by the Macedonian army assembly. The fallen Amyntas IV continues to live in the palace of the Macedonian residence city of Pella .
  • Philip II of Macedonia conquers the city of Potidaia and has it destroyed. The area is awarded to Olynth . The Macedonians continue to conquer the city of Pydna .
  • A Macedonian army under the general Parmenion undertakes a successful campaign against the Illyrians .
  • The Phocians under their general Philomelos attack Delphi to get the rich temple treasures. With the money they set up a mercenary army of 10,000 men. This leads to the Third Holy War with several Greek city-states.
