54th Division (German Empire)

The 54th Infantry Division was a major unit of the German Army in the First World War .

history

The division was formed on March 1, 1915 and, after its formation, was initially deployed on the western front , but after a short time it was detached and relocated to the eastern front. She stayed there until mid-September 1915, when she returned to the Western Front. After the end of the war, the division returned home, where it was demobilized in January 1919 and then disbanded.
