Dijon 6-hour race in 1978

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 6 Hours of Dijon 1978 , also 6 Hours Dijon , took place on April 16 at the Circuit de Dijon-Prenois and was the fifth round of the sports car world championship of that year.

The race

The 1978 World Sports Car Championship continued with the race in Dijon . Due to a very bad weather forecast, the organizer shortened the race distance from six to four hours. The big rain did not happen on the day of the race, the shortened race remained. Once again, the Porsche 935s used were clearly superior to the competing products from BMW . Overall victory was achieved by Bob Wollek and Henri Pescarolo in the Kremer- Porsche 935.
