Adam Stockhausen

Adam Stockhausen (born November 30, 1972 in Brookfield , Wisconsin ) is an American production designer and art director .

Life

Stockhausen successfully completed a degree in theater studies at Marquette University in 1995 . He has been in the film business since 2003. In 2007 he worked for Darjeeling Limited with director Wes Anderson for the first time . They then worked together on several commercials for around five years and continued their cooperation in 2012 with the film Moonrise Kingdom . In 2014 they made their third joint film production with Grand Budapest Hotel .

Stockhausen also works for theater productions, including off-Broadway performances.

He was nominated for an Oscar in 2014 for working on 12 Years a Slave with Alice Baker . Together they were also nominated for the British Academy Film Awards 2014 and the Critics' Choice Movie Awards 2014 . In 2015 he and Anna Pinnock received an Oscar in the category Best Production Design for the Grand Budapest Hotel .
