Al Jean
Al Jean (born January 9, 1961 in Farmington Hills , Michigan ) is an American screenwriter and producer.
Jean grew up in Detroit and studied at Harvard. He is the current showrunner on The Simpsons series . He has been involved as a writer and producer since the series began. Together with Mike Reiss he worked as a showrunner for the third and fourth seasons. Jean has been the show's sole showrunner since season 13. He was also the producer of the series The Critic and author for Alf .
In the course of his participation in The Simpsons , Jean received numerous awards. He has won eight Emmys so far .
