Alberto Nepomuceno
Alberto Nepomuceno (born July 6, 1864 in Fortaleza do Ceará , † October 16, 1920 in Rio de Janeiro ) was a Brazilian composer .
Nepomuceno studied in Paris , Berlin (at the Stern Conservatory ) and Rome . From 1895 he was an organ teacher, from 1902 head of the Instituto Nacional de Música in Rio de Janeiro. In addition, from 1896 he headed the orchestra of the Society for Folk Concerts .
He composed an opera , a symphony , a suite brasileira , a piano trio, piano works and songs .
