Albrecht Haas

Christian Albrecht Haas (born March 8, 1906 in Pegnitz , † January 20, 1970 in Schwabach ) was a German lawyer and politician ( FDP ).

Life and work

After graduation in 1925 at the Adam Kraft Grammar School in Schwabach took Haas, the Protestant had faith, a study of law and political science in Munich , Heidelberg and Erlangen on which it 1931 with the graduation to the Dr. jur. and graduated in 1933 with the second state examination in law. During his studies he became a member of the AGV Munich . After completing his studies, he worked as an independent lawyer in Nuremberg until 1940 . From 1940 to 1945 he took part in the Second World War as a soldier . During the war, his law firm was destroyed by Allied bombing. After the end of the war, Haas was initially acting chief magistrate. Later he founded a new law firm in Schwabach.

Political party

Haas was a member of the DVP before 1933 . He was a co-founder of the FDP in Franconia and Bavaria . He had been a member of the party's state executive committee since 1947 and district chairman of the FDP Middle Franconia since 1948 . In 1956 he succeeded Thomas Dehler as the state chairman of the Liberals in Bavaria . In 1964 he was replaced in this role by Klaus Dehler .

MP

Haas was from 1945 to 1955 council member of the Schwabach community and chairman of the FDP parliamentary group there. He was elected to the Bavarian state parliament on November 27, 1950 and was deputy chairman of the FDP parliamentary group from 1950 to 1954 and from 1962 to 1965 . On October 13, 1965, he resigned his state parliament mandate after he had previously been elected to the Bundestag. He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1965 until his death. He was always drawn into parliament via the Bavarian state list.

Public offices

From 1954 to 1957 Haas was State Secretary and head of the Bavarian State Chancellery under Prime Minister Wilhelm Hoegner and from 1957/58 State Secretary in the Bavarian Ministry of Finance . In December 1958, he was appointed Minister of State for Justice to the state government led by Prime Minister Hanns Seidel and was also a member of the subsequent government led by Prime Minister Hans Ehard . After the formation of a single CSU government, he left office in December 1962.
