Albrecht Lehmann

Albrecht Lehmann (born October 16, 1939 in Lauban ) is a German folklorist and narrative researcher .

Career

He completed his studies in folklore, sociology , pedagogy and history at the University of Göttingen in 1975 with a doctorate . The dissertation was a work on folklore community research about a village in Lower Saxony . 1981 followed his habilitation with the work narrative structure and curriculum vitae. Autobiographical Investigations . In 1983 he received a professorship at the Institute for Folklore of the University of Hamburg . From 1992 he held the chair there . In 2005 he retired here .

His research focuses on biography and narrative research as an analysis of consciousness as well as in contemporary historical mentality research and in the mentality-historical analysis of nature and environmental awareness . Lehmann is a member of the editorial board of the trade journal BIOS .

activities

At the invitation of the Japanese Society for Folklore, the University of Tokyo and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, Albrecht Lehmann, Institute for Folklore / Cultural Anthropology at the University of Hamburg, gave lectures on the topics of "nature mystification and environmental activism" on a three-week trip in September 2010 on issues and methods of "narrative research as analysis of consciousness" at various universities in Tokyo and Kobe as well as at the National Museum of Ethnology in Osaka.
