The German Bundesliga team F.C. Hansa Rostock then signed Jović at the beginning of the 1998/99 season . After Jović had come in Rostock for only one use in the DFB Cup on August 29, 1998 against 1. FC Köln , Jović came on for Oliver Neuville in the 78th minute , Hansa loaned him to the Israeli club Hapoel Haifa for the second half of the season and gave Jović for the following season 1999/2000 to the Kickers Offenbach playing in the 2nd Bundesliga .

After only four appearances for Offenbach in the first half of this season, Jović moved to the second half of the season for regional division club FC Carl Zeiss Jena , for whom he scored a total of 20 goals in 45 games. With Jena's relegation to the league, Jović then moved to the Hungarian club Ferencváros Budapest in 2001 , with whom he became Hungarian champion in 2004 and cup winners in 2003 and 2004, before ending his career with the Swedish IFK Tidaholm in 2004 .
