Alex Carter

Alex Carter (born November 12, 1964 in Toronto ; born Alex Apostolopoulos ) is a Canadian actor .

Life and accomplishments

The Greek-born actor grew up in Toronto. He then learned acting at The Beverly Hills Playhouse and then returned to Canada. He made his debut in a larger role opposite Meg Foster in the 1988 Canadian television drama The Secret of Holden House . After a number of guest appearances on television series, he appeared on the side of Tony Goldwyn , Alan Arkin and Greg Germann in the television thriller Deadly Heat (1993 ) on. In the television thriller Moonshine Highway (1996) he played a bigger role alongside Kyle MacLachlan and Randy Quaid .

The film It Is What It Is (2001), in which Carter played one of the larger roles alongside Stephen Tobolowsky , received three awards from the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival in 2003 , including Best Feature Film . In the drama The Day Reagan Was Shot (2001), Carter starred alongside Richard Crenna and Richard Dreyfuss . In the television drama The Mermaid's Secret (2006), he played a friar with whom the married Jessie Sullivan ( Kim Basinger ) falls in love.

Carter is married and has three daughters. He lives in Santa Monica .
