Alexander Kuzminski ( Russian Александр Кузьминьский / Alexander Kusminski; born July 12, 1972 in Kiev , Ukrainian SSR ) is a former Canadian - Ukrainian ice hockey player who has spent five seasons in the German Ice Hockey League . In the 1990s he was also active as a professional inline hockey player in the North American Roller Hockey International .
Career
Alexander Kuzminski began his career in 1988 in his native Kiev, where he worked for HK Sokol Kiev until 1992 . In the 1991 NHL Entry Draft , the Toronto Maple Leafs secured the rights to the left-handed shooter in the sixth round in 120th place. For the 1992/93 season he then moved to North America and spent four seasons in the Colonial Hockey League . In 1996 Kuzminski went to Denmark , where he was able to score 100 points in 47 games for the IC Gentofte . After a year in the Finnish SM-liiga with KalPa Kuopio , he signed a contract with the Berlin Capitals in the German Ice Hockey League for the 1998/99 season . In the middle of the season, the center left the capital city and moved to HKm Zvolen in Slovakia . The next year he returned to Berlin and completed the entire season there. Then Kuzminski joined the DEL climber Iserlohn Roosters . In 2001 he moved to the Kölner Haien , where he played 49 games. At the end of the 2001/02 season he went back to Iserlohn in exchange with Collin Danielsmeier . His last DEL station was the SERC Wild Wings the next year . The junior international player of Russia spent the 2003/04 season in Sweden , Denmark and France . In total, he came to 29 points in 30 games. In 2004 he then signed with the cousin de Saint-Hyacinthe from the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey . He then ended his career at the age of 32.
