Alexandre Tremblay (born March 22, 1979 in Beaupré , Québec ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has played for the GCK Lions in the National League B on the left wing since 2012 .
Career
Tremblay began his career in the Québec Major Junior Hockey League , where he completed a total of 264 games for Laval , Shawinigan and Rimouski Océanic , in which he collected 137 goals, 141 assists and 335 penalty minutes. In spring 2000 he won the Memorial Cup , the trophy of the Canadian Hockey League , with Rimouski , in the final against the Barrie Colts .
In his rookie year 2000/01 at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR), Tremblay was named CIS Rookie of the Year and set a new UQTR rookie record with 29 goals and 24 assists. He won the CIS University League Championship in 2000/01 and was named the Championship's Most Valuable Player . Two years later he was named CIS Player of the Year , became the top scorer and top scorer of the CIS and again won the CIS championship with the UQTR Patriotes .
In March 2003 Tremblay signed a trial contract with the Syracuse Crunch from the American Hockey League and played five games there. For the following season he then moved to Finland to JYP Jyväskylä in the SM-liiga . After a year in Europe he moved back to Canada to the Radio X de Québec in the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey , where he a. a. played with Donald Brashear and won the championship.
After a year in the LNAH he got a contract offer from Friborg-Gottéron , where he only played one game and was otherwise used in the NLB at HC La Chaux-de-Fonds . With 34 goals and 31 assists he was the top scorer of HC La Chaux-de-Fonds, but since the play-offs were missed, Tremblay switched to EHC Biel to support them in the play-off finals and relegation. The EHC Biel won the NLB championship , but failed in the relegation to Friborg-Gottéron. In the 2006/07 season he stayed in Biel and became the top scorer of the EHC. During the playoffs he was in top form (with 15 goals and 13 assists in 15 games) and was a guarantee for the defense of the NLB title.
In January 2008 it was announced that Tremblay had signed a two-year contract with Lausanne HC . In Lausanne, Tremblay rose to team captaincy and stood out for consistently strong performances when he achieved an average of over one point per game for three seasons in a row. In January 2011 he was hired by EHC Visp , where he signed a contract that will apply from the 2011/12 season . In December 2012 he left the Valais because they had signed Domenico Pittis. Tremblay then hired the GCK Lions.
