Life
Alexis was born in Los Angeles. Her parents were Brenda Olivia-Nowak, an actress and teacher, poet and therapist, and Lewis Arquette, an actor and director. Arquette decided at a young age to live as a woman, also performing under the name Eva Destruction. This was initially perceived as a travesty , but later she made public that she had always seen herself as a woman, that she wanted to live as a woman in the future and that she wanted to undergo gender reassignment surgery.
First seen was Arquette in 1982 in the music video She's a beauty of the rock band The Tubes of San Francisco . Less known than her siblings Patricia, David and Rosanna, Alexis later worked mostly in low-budget or independent productions . Alexis Arquette has had roles in about 30 other independent films. She played a leading role in the film Never Met Picasso (1996), for which she won a prize at the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Film Festival ( Outfest ).
In addition, Alexis Arquette appeared in various mainstream films. These included supporting roles in Pulp Fiction , Einsam Zweisam Dreisam , Chucky and his bride and a role as a fanatical follower Boy George in the comedy A Wedding to Fall in Love , in which she performed the song Do You Really Want to Hurt Me? sang. In addition, she starred in her role as Eva Destruction in various low-budget porn films . She had also made an appearance in the music video She's Madonna of Robbie Williams . In 2006 she appeared in the series The Surreal Life . She mentioned there that in future she should not be called a man or a woman, but rather “a transgendered” or, in her own words, “tranny”.
She played her last role in 2014 in the comedy Urlaubreif . Alexis Arquette died in September 2016 at the age of 47 after a lengthy illness.
