Alfred Adewale Martins (born June 1, 1959 in Abeokuta , Ogun State , Nigeria ) is Archbishop of Lagos .

Life

Alfred Adewale Martins was ordained a priest on September 18, 1983 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Abeokuta on October 24, 1997. He was ordained bishop by the Apostolic Nuncio in Nigeria , Carlo Maria Viganò , on January 24, 1998; Co- consecrators were Anthony Olubunmi Okogie , Archbishop of Lagos, and Albert Ayinde Fasina , Bishop of Ijebu-Ode .

On May 25, 2012, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the Archbishop of Lagos. The solemn inauguration ( enthronement ) took place on August 4th of the same year.
