Alicia Silverstone [ əˈliːsiə ˈsɪlvərstoʊn ] (born October 4, 1976 in San Francisco ) is an American actress , author and animal welfare and environmental activist . She gained fame in the 1990s with the film Clueless - What else! and as Batgirl in Batman & Robin and through her appearances in three music videos for the band Aerosmith .

youth

Silverstone was born to British parents, a real estate investor and flight attendant. She has two older siblings, a half-sister from her father's first marriage and a brother. Alicia Silverstone comes from a Jewish family and describes herself as Jewish. She grew up in San Francisco and attended the "Crocker Middle School" and then the "San Mateo High School".

Silverstone began modeling and appearing in commercials at the age of six, first for Domino's Pizza . She enjoyed spending her summer holidays in England, where she developed a growing enthusiasm for theater productions there. Career

Her first role was in 1992 in the eleventh episode of the fifth season of the television series Wonderful Years as Jessica . Her first film role was in the film The Beast a year later. Silverstone won two more MTV Movie Awards and signed a ten million dollar contract with Columbia TriStar for additional films. In 1997, she played the Batgirl in the fourth Batman film version Batman & Robin alongside George Clooney . For several years, Silverstone has been one of the prominent faces of several PeTA campaigns advocating animal rights and veganism . From June 11, 2005 she was married to Christopher Jarecki , the singer of the band STUN . You lived in Los Angeles . On May 5, 2011, they became parents to a son. They divorced in 2018.
