Alois Derfler
Alois Derfler (born May 21, 1924 in Scheibbs , Lower Austria ; † January 29, 2005 there ) was President of the Austrian Farmers' Union .
Life
Derfler was a farmer by profession and began his political career in 1965 as a councilor and mayor in Scheibbs (Lower Austria). From 1983 to 1990 he was a member of the National Council for the ÖVP . Since 1984 he has been an honorary member of the Catholic student association K.Ö.HV Mercuria Vienna in the ÖCV .
He died at the age of 81.
