The Neuhof District Court (until 1867 Neuhof Justice Office ) was a court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1822 to 1943, as a branch until 2004, with its seat in Neuhof (near Fulda) .

history

In the course of the separation of justice and administration in the Electorate of Hesse with effect from January 1, 1822, the previous office of Neuhof , which until then was both an administrative authority and a court of first instance, was assigned to the district of Kerzell , Lassenrod and Ziegel The newly created District Court of Fulda established the Neuhof Justice Office, which is exclusively responsible for jurisdiction. The district of the justice office thus consisted of the places Neuhof, Büchenberg , Buchenrod , Döllbach , Dorfborn , Eichenried with Veitsteinbach , Flieden , Hattenhof , Höf and Haid , Kauppen , Magdlos , Mittelkalbach , Niederkalbach , Rommerz , Rothemann , Rückers , Schweben , Stork , Tiefengruben , Weidenau and Zillbach together. On January 1, 1837, the place houseleek from the district of the Grossenlüder judicial office was added.

After the Prussian annexation of Kurhessen (1866), the court constitution was reorganized, the existing judicial bodies were replaced by local courts in the first, district courts in the second and a court of appeal in the third instance. In the course of this, the former Neuhof Justice Office became the Neuhof District Court in the district of the Fulda District Court .

With the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, the change to the district of the newly established Hanau District Court took place , but the district of the Neuhof District Court did not change.

In 1943 the district court became a branch of the Fulda District Court, which until its closure was responsible for the municipalities of Flieden , Kalbach and Neuhof in land register, registry and estate matters, in matters of the guardianship court, in leaving the church and as an advisory aid. On May 31, 2004, the Neuhof branch of the Fulda District Court was closed . Since the branch office was closed, court days have been held once a month in the Neuhof municipal administration.

Today, after the sale, the building is privately owned and inhabited.
