history

In Schlüchtern the district Schlüchtern ( Kurhessische province Hanau ) and for the judiciary in the first instance the justice office Schlüchtern was established. The court district corresponded to the district. The higher court for the province of Hanau with its seat in Hanau acted as court of second instance .

The district court remained in place under the Reich Justice Laws. The next higher instance was the Hanau district court .

On December 31, 2011, the Schlüchtern District Court was dissolved in accordance with the resolution of the Hessian State Parliament on September 15, 2011. The background to this is a resolution in the context of the Consolidation and Compensation (KuK) project of the Hessian Ministry of Justice from June 2010.
