Andreas Martin , real name Andreas Martin Krause , (born December 23, 1952 in Berlin ) is a German pop singer , composer and music producer .

Life

Martin completed a music degree. In 1975 he introduced the still unknown Wolfgang Petry to the producer couple Tony Hendrik / Karin Hartmann-Eisenblätter, who produced 20 singles and 7 LPs for him over the next 10 years, some of whom composed them. As a singer, Martin became known through the hit Amore Mio , with which he reached number 25 in the German hit parade in 1982 . His greatest success so far is the single Du bist alles (Maria, Maria) composed by Drafi Deutscher from 1987.

In 1989 he took part as a singer in the German qualification for the Eurovision Song Contest . With the song Herz an Herz , he took fourth place out of ten participants.

Martin composed songs for other pop singers, among others he worked for Juliane Werding , Astrid Breck, Wolfgang Petry , Nino de Angelo and Roger Whittaker .

In 1991 and 1992 he formed the pop duo New Mixed Emotions with Drafi Deutscher and recorded the album Side By Side with Deutscher . With the two singles Sensuality (When I Touch You) and Lonely Lover, which were extracted from it , they were able to place themselves high in the ZDF hit parade in 1991 , and even win them with Lonely Lover .

In 1994, Martin achieved 3rd place at the German Schlager Festival with his title So I love you . For this he was presented with the Bronze Muse by Dieter Thomas Heck .

From 1993 he was mainly responsible for the success of Brunner & Brunner as a songwriter . The first single he wrote for the Austrian pair of brothers was called Schenk mir this one night .

Martin, who lives in Neunkirchen-Seelscheid- Remschoß (North Rhine-Westphalia), made it into the official German sales charts for the first time since 1995 with the single once too often in 2006 , where the title lasted four weeks. He was able to repeat or even surpass this chart success in 2008 with the single I catch the moon with a golden lasso composed by Jürgen Dönges .

Andreas Martin is widowed and has one son. On June 15, 2017, Martin reported his wife Juliane missing after leaving the house on foot and not returning. Police searches were unsuccessful. In November 2017, strollers discovered a woman's corpse in a forest near Neunkirchen-Seelscheid . During the autopsy, it was found that it was Juliane Martin.

In May 2019, after a three-year hiatus, Andreas Martin and his son Alexander released the duet We start from the beginning . At the end of December 2019, Alexander Martin announced on social media that his father would no longer be a singer in the future.
