From 1997 to 2002 Hajduk belonged to the Hamburg citizenship for the first time . She was the parliamentary executive director of the GAL parliamentary group and budget spokesperson.

She was a member of the German Bundestag for the first time from 2002 to 2008. In the federal elections in 2002 , she moved into the German Bundestag with first place on the Hamburg state list . She prevailed against Willfried Maier in her nomination . In the 2005 Bundestag elections , it moved into the German Bundestag via second place on the Hamburg state list. This time Krista Sager ran in first place , who moved into the German Bundestag via second place on the Hamburg state list in the 2002 federal elections. From 2002 to 2004 she was deputy chairwoman of the budget committee and from 2004 to 2008 budget spokeswoman for the Greens parliamentary group .

In the 2011 state election she ran as the top candidate for the Green Alternative List. She won a direct mandate in the constituency of Eppendorf-Winterhude and thus moved back into the Hamburg citizenship. She was then deputy chairman of the GAL parliamentary group and budget spokeswoman.

Public offices

After the state elections in 2008 , the first black-green coalition was formed in Hamburg and Hajduk was appointed to the Senate of Beust III by Mayor Ole von Beust as Senator and President of the Authority for Urban Development and the Environment . Her approval of the construction of a new hard coal-fired power plant in Hamburg-Moorburg on September 30, 2008 caused a sensation . During the election campaign, the GAL had promised to prevent the power plant from being built. At the state general assembly on October 9, 2008, however, a majority of the members spoke out in favor of continuing the coalition.

After the resignation of Mayor von Beust, she was one of the newly confirmed members of Christoph Ahlhaus's Senate . After the termination of the black-green coalition by the GAL, however, all GAL Senate members were dismissed by the First Mayor Christoph Ahlhaus on November 29, 2010 . The founding of the municipal energy supply company Hamburg Energie and the introduction of StadtRAD Hamburg were both political successes . The planning of the first urban railway line , which was developed right through to the planning approval procedure , was suspended by the First Mayor of Ahlhaus after the coalition breakdown and then finally stopped by the new First Mayor Olaf Scholz .

Controversy

An attempt was made to remove her defeat to Katja Husen when she ran for the federal executive board from her Wikipedia article.
