Annette Otterstedt

Annette Otterstedt (born September 23, 1951 in Erlangen ) is a German musicologist and gambist .

Life

Annette Otterstedt passed her A-levels at the Wilhelm-Gymnasium in Hamburg. She studied viola da gamba with Johannes Koch at the Hamburg University of Music . This was followed by studies in musicology , ethnomusicology , Jewish studies and manuscript studies at the Technical and Free University of Berlin . She did her doctorate with Carl Dahlhaus as Dr. phil. Otterstedt works as a research assistant at the State Institute for Music Research in Berlin. Her main research interests are string and wind instruments from the 17th and 18th centuries.
