Anthony Bonaccurso (born November 28, 1975 in Sunshine ) is a retired Australian wheelchair tennis player and ski racer.
Career
Alpine skiing
He took in 1998 at the Paralympic Winter Games in Nagano in part. He competed in three alpine skiing disciplines, his best result was a 17th place.
Wheelchair tennis
Anthony Bonaccurso began wheelchair tennis at the age of 19 and started in the paraplegic class .
He took part in the 2004 Paralympic Games in Athens . In the last sixteen of the individual competition he was defeated by Stephen Welch in two sets. The doubles competition was much more successful for him and his partner David Hall when they reached the semi-finals against Shingo Kunieda and Satoshi Saida . They lost the game in three sets. The subsequent game for third place and thus the bronze medal they won against Robin Ammerlaan and Eric Stuurman .
In the world rankings, Anthony Bonaccurso achieved his best placings with rank 16 in singles and doubles. He succeeded in singles for the first time on August 18, 2003 and in doubles on May 16, 2005. He played his last tournament in April 2009.
