Anti-Everything is a punk band from Trinidad and Tobago .
history
Anti-Everything was founded in 2000 in St. Joseph , about eleven kilometers east of the capital Port of Spain . When it was founded, the members were still teenagers, and the name was chosen out of a general negative attitude. In the early 2010s singer Bryan Khan and guitarist Randy Ali moved to Europe; Since then, the band's songs have been created primarily through online cooperation, and recordings have been made during visits by Khan and Ali. Today the band members live in cities in the north of Trinidad, only Randy Ali lives in Brussels, Belgium .
style
Anti-Everything play punk with a penchant for alternative rock . In addition to old school ( Black Flag , Minor Threat ) and new school punk bands ( Pennywise , Strike Anywhere ) , the band also names Calypso artists as influences, since in the past they would not have shied away from addressing controversial topics that were in the Public were taboo. Bonds of reggae , dub and ska can be seen, and a steel pan is also used occasionally . In terms of text, Anti-Everything mostly deals with political and social conflicts, often relating to their home country Trinidad. A small part of your texts deals with personal topics such as the search for identity or is purely for fun.
Anti-Everything is the only punk band in Trinidad and Tobago.
