Asher Paul Roth (born August 11, 1985 in Morrisville , Pennsylvania ) is an American hip hop musician.

Life

Roth grew up in Morrisville, 12 miles north of Philadelphia , and moved to West Chester to study at the age of 18 . He kept coming into contact with the American hip-hop scene and tried his hand at freestyle raps at college parties. He quickly became known through MySpace and signed to the SRC Records label. In the following years he released some mixtapes such as B. The Greenhouse Effect Vol. 1 and met musicians like Jay-Z . In April 2009 his first studio album Asleep in the Bread Aisle was released , which received good reviews.

He mostly performs with fellow musicians Brain Bangley, Tom Boyd (Boyder), Kevin Lamar and DJ Wreckineyez.

He has been compared to Eminem since the beginning of his career . In an interview, he said on the subject: To be compared to Eminem is an honor for me and inspires me again and again. In addition, in his song “As I Em” he processed what it is like to be compared to him. He wants to clear the misunderstandings out of the way.
