Aufseßplatz
The Aufseßplatz is a square in Nuremberg . It is named after the founder of the Germanisches Nationalmuseum Hans von Aufseß (1801–1872).
location
The square is located in the Galgenhof district of Nuremberg . Peter-Henlein-Strasse runs north of the square and Landgrabenstrasse to the south. Coming from the west the Wiesenstrasse joins it, coming from the east the Breitscheidstrasse.
History and design
From 1876 a first, representative, magnificent complex was built. In the heart of the complex is the nymph fountain. This fountain was donated in 1895 by the owner of the Franconian shoe factory, Maximilian Brust. The fountain was designed by Fritz Radow. A weather pillar was built on the edge . Of place to some magnificent homes that were in the style of Neo-Renaissance or the so-called Nuremberg style of Gothic Revival were built.

On Aufseßplatz the line 1 stops the Nuremberg subway . The square is also served by tram lines 5 and 6.
