The Aveler Bach or Avelsbach is a right tributary of the Moselle in Trier .

The Aveler Bach rises at an altitude of 254  m above sea level. NHN near Trier-Tarforst. It flows in a north-north-westerly direction and finally flows into the Moselle from the right at an altitude of 124  m .

Shortly before it flows into the Moselle, the Avelsbach feeds the pond in Nells Park .

The Avelsbach was extensively renatured in 2007-2014 for 805,000 euros.

Viticulture

State wine-growing domain in the Avelertal

The State Viticulture Domain Avelsbach is located in the Aveler Valley . The vineyards in the Aveler Valley are Altenberg, Herrenberg, Kupp, Hammerstein and Rotlay (no longer planted). Avelsbach Castle towers over the brook , which is a monument to Hugo Thiel and belongs to the Avelsbach domain.
