The Balmhornhütte is a mountain hut belonging to the Swiss Alpine Club (SAC) in the canton of Bern in Switzerland . It is below the Balmhorngletschers and Balmhorn -Nordwand at an altitude of 1955  m above sea level. M. on a pulpit that offers wonderful views of the Gastern Valley .

The hut can be reached from Kandersteg (train station) in around 3 hours (approx. 750 meters difference in altitude). From Gasternholz ( 1367  m ) the ascent takes place on a narrow and sometimes quite exposed mountain path. The Balmhornhütte is an ideal base for the ascent to the Gasternspitze ( 2821  m ) and the Wildelsiggrat .

The Balmhornhütte is mostly unmanaged, in summer it is occasionally run by volunteer hut owners.
