Bandudato ( Bandudatu ) is an East Timorese Suco in the administrative office of Aileu Vila ( Aileu municipality ).

Before the 2015 territorial reform, Bandudato had an area of ​​30.65 km². Now it is 14.17 km². The Suco Bandudato is located in the south-east of the administrative office of Aileu. In the north and east lies the Suco Fahiria , in the west the Suco Liurai and in the south the Sucos Lahae and Lausi . In the southeast, Bandudato borders the Maubisse administrative office ( municipality of Ainaro ) with its Suco Fatubessi . At the northwest corner , the rivers Mumdonihun and Manolane unite to form the Monofonihun , which continues to flow along the northern border of Bandudato. The Daisoli River forms part of the southern border . All of these rivers are part of the Northern Lacló system .

The overland roads from Aileu to Maubisse run through the west of the Sucos . In the northwest it crosses the Manolane over a bridge. Here are the places Dailor , Raelete ( Railete ) and Raifusa ( Raifusu ). The Sucos primary school is also located here. Bibteron is located further south.

In the Suco are the three Aldeias Dailor , Raelete and Taiblor .

Residents

1138 inhabitants live in the Suco (2015), of which 604 are men and 534 women. The population density is 80.3 inhabitants / km². There are 204 households in the Suco. More than 85% of the population name Tetum Prasa as their mother tongue. The rest speaks Mambai .

politics

In the 2004/2005 elections , Domingos Araújo was elected Chefe de Suco. Mario Viera da Costa won the elections in 2009 and Silveiro Amaral in 2016 .

history

Dailor was one of the many traditional Timorese empires ruled by a liurai . It appears on a list by Afonso de Castro , a former governor of Portuguese Timor who listed 47 empires in 1868. Already in the 18th century Dailor was an ally of Portugal . In January 1894 it signed a written contract with Portugal on its vassal status to the colonial power.
