Barbara Lorenz

Barbara Lorenz (born before 1970) is a makeup artist .

Life

Lorenz began her career as an actress with small roles in one Austrian and two German television films. Her film staff career began on American television in the early 1970s. She made her film debut as a makeup artist in 1976, one of her first feature films was John Schlesinger's thriller The Marathon Man . A career spanning over four decades followed, working under such renowned directors as Steven Spielberg , Francis Ford Coppola , Peter Weir , Martin Brest and Tim Burton .

2003 she worked for Simon Wells ' fiction science film The Time Machine along with John M. Elliott Jr. for the Oscar in the category Best Makeup and Best hairstyles nominated, but won this year's biopic Frida .

In addition to nearly 100 feature films, she has also worked for television, including the television series Agentin mit Herz , Enlightened , The Newsroom and Episodes . For her work on the television film Love never dies with Halle Berry in the lead role, she was nominated for a Primetime Emmy in 2005. Lorenz was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild in 2017 for her life's work.
