Bendik Singers

The Bendik Singers were a four-piece Norwegian singing formation put together by singer and composer Arne Bendiksen . The group members were Anne-Karine Strøm , Ellen Nikolaysen and the brothers Bjørn and Benny Kruse.

Eurovision Song Contest

As the winner of the Melodi Grand Prix with the title Å for et spill , they were allowed to compete at the Concours Eurovision de la Chanson 1973 in Luxembourg . The song was performed in English with individual sentences translated into other European languages. As It's Just a Game , the piece took seventh place.

The following year Anne-Karine Strøm won the Norwegian preliminary round as solo singer. There she was accompanied by the rest of the Bendik Singers as a background choir .
