Jan Werner Danielsen

Jan Werner Danielsen (born April 10, 1976 in Nord-Odal , Norway ; † September 29, 2006 in Oslo ), also known by the stage name Jan Werner , was a Norwegian singer.

He was discovered at a talent show in 1994 and in the same year represented his country together with Elisabeth Andreassen at the Eurovision Song Contest , where they took 6th place. The following year he received the Karoline Prize .

From 1995 he released several albums.

Danielsen was found dead by a friend in his home on September 29, 2006 . According to police reports, he died of natural causes. In January 2007, an autopsy report was published which found that the cause of death was heart failure, presumably caused by bronchitis associated with overwork.
