Benjamin Trinks (born October 15, 1990 in Berlin ) is a German actor .

Life

At the age of eight, Benjamin Trinks joined the children's ensemble at Berlin's Friedrichstadt-Palast , where he gained his first stage experience in various revues. By participating in music clips for Michael Schanze's television shows, he gained his first camera experience. In 2004 he worked in his first television role in the ZDF series Sabine! With. In the same year, productions such as Zack (Sat.1), Krimi.de (KI.KA) or Where are you staying baby? (ZDF), whereupon Benjamin Trinks left the ensemble at Friedrichstadt-Palast for lack of time.

In the following years Trinks played in various film and television productions. For example, from 2006 to 2008 he took on a continuous leading role in the youth series Die Pausenhofclique and in 2007 a continuous role in the 1st season of the ARD series Die Stein . In the same year he also took on a role in the literary film adaptation of The Reader, which received an Oscar and a Golden Globe Award .

As part of the Disney Channel Games , Trinks flew to Florida in 2008 to moderate the games as a German reporter. There he interviewed Brian Stepanek , the Jonas Brothers and Selena Gomez, among others . Back in Germany, filming began for I love my best friend's husband and the refugee drama Then and Now . This was followed by the shooting of the final season of the series Die Pausenhofclique and the movie Draußen am See with Felix Fuchssteiner in the direction.

In the first half of 2009 Trinks made the productions Fairfield , Vater, Am ich Kind? and Alone among students in Flensburg, Stuttgart and Berlin. In the rest of the year he mainly worked on dubbing projects and the filming of the historical ZDF novel adaptation Fateful Years , among others on the side of Maria Furtwängler .

At the beginning of 2011, Benjamin Trinks was continuously filming the multi-award-winning ZDF three-part film Our Mothers, Our Fathers , in which he played a young Wehrmacht soldier in World War II . In the run-up, Trinks flew to Lithuania for a training camp lasting several weeks in order to learn how to behave and the military processes in the Wehrmacht. Subsequently, filming began in Lithuania, Latvia and Germany. At the beginning of June he flew to Cornwall in order to realize the 100th anniversary episode of Rosamunde Pilcher in a leading role.

Trinks also worked on various film projects in 2012, for example at the end of the year he took on a leading role in the ARD film A Fall of Love - Anna's Baby .

Sabbatical and re-entry into the film business

After more than 10 years in the film and television business, Trinks took a break from acting in 2013, also to do more for social projects and to get his degree. After he got back into the film business a year later, shooting began on the German-Russian movie No Comment in spring 2014 . In the course of the year further productions followed such as B. Gut Molzow , Der Lehrer , SOKO Wismar , Kripo Holstein or SOKO 5113 . In addition, Trinks received the Gingko Award in 2014 for his acting performance in Alone Among Schoolchildren in Munich.
