In 2007, as a member of the Umweltzentrum-Archiv-Verein, together with the artist Silke Wagner, he realized the project Münster's story from below as part of the “ Sculpture.Projects Münster 07”. As spokesman for the "Freundeskreis Paul Wulf", he successfully campaigned for the preservation of the Paul Wulf sculpture developed by Silke Wagner and himself and for the renaming of the Jöttenweg, named after a Nazi doctor, to Paul-Wulf-Weg. Since 2013, a sign on Paul Wulf-Weg, previously requested by Drücke, has been commemorating both the Nazi eugenicist Karl Wilhelm Jötten and the anarchist Paul Wulf, who was forcibly sterilized by the Nazis in 1938 . Together with Winfried Bettner from the Filmwerkstatt Münster and the artist Isabel Lipthay, Bernd Drücke nominated the filmmaker Peter Lilienthal for the Carl von Ossietzky Medal in 2012 and moderated the medal ceremony in Berlin. He works as an author and freelance journalist. Bernd Drücke has two children, has lived with 60 people in the alternative, self-managed housing project Breul-Tibusstrasse in Münster since 1991 and works there at the “Archive Environment Center”.

Think

Pressures supports the vision of a nonviolent and anarchist society. He describes a key experience as follows:

“A tall man of the 'fascist thug' type stole my cap from my head together with another in the park. I went to him and said, infected by Gandhi, calmly but emphatically: 'Please give me the hat back, it belongs to my mother and I need it.' He then hit me in the stomach with full force. Outwardly unimpressed, I repeated my appeal shortly afterwards, still in a friendly manner, whereupon he reacted in the same way as the first time. When I expressed my concern for the third time, outwardly, I was no longer beaten. He returned the hat to me and apologized. "

- Interview from: Bernd Drücke (Ed.): Yes! Anarchism. Lived utopia in the 21st century.

He referred early on to Martin Luther King , Henry David Thoreau , Kurt Tucholsky , Theodor W. Adorno , Max Horkheimer , Gernot Jochheim and the libertarian anti-militarist Ernst Friedrich. Print strictly rejects violence against people, including as an indirect result of acts of sabotage .

He agrees with the original direction of the magazine, the intention of which he describes with the statement that “anarchism should become nonviolent and the nonviolent movement anarchist. Then as now, the newspaper was a mouthpiece for anti-militarist movements and total conscientious objectors who reject military service, community service and all other compulsory service. ”It is important to remember libertarian theorists.
