He successfully participated in TV quiz programs on Bavarian TV (BR) , for example in 1983 with Bayern, where hardly anyone knows it, and in 1984 with Bayern-Kini . Then he was head of the culture and tourism office of the city of Weiden idOpf until May 2007 . active.

In 1984 Baron initiated the popular concert series Weidener Summer Serenades in the Max Reger Park, which is still taking place today . Baron for the Critical Lexicon German-language contemporary literature (KLG) from Boorberg-Verlag Munich.

Bernhard M. Baron was one of the initiators of the Bavarian Literature Days ( literary landscapes of Bavaria ), which have been held every two years since 2004 (as of 2010 as LITERATURE UPDATE ). He is the author of the Weidener literary history Weiden in the literary geography (Volume 21 of the series Weidner Heimatkundliche Arbeit , Verlag K.
