Professional association for printing and paper processing

The trade association for printing and paper processing (BGDP) was a commercial trade association in Germany and thus the carrier of the statutory accident insurance . The main administration of the BGDP was located in Wiesbaden . District administrations existed in Hamburg , Wuppertal , Wiesbaden, Nuremberg , Berlin and Leipzig .

The BGDP was responsible for printing, paper processing (e.g. bookbinding, cardboard production, corrugated cardboard production and paper finishing ), plastics processing, photography and graphics.

history

The trade association was created on August 26, 1949 from a merger of the book printer trade association and the paper processing trade association. Book printers were the first professional group to set up a professional association on January 7, 1885. On January 1, 2010, they merged with other professional associations to form the Energy, Textile, Electrical, Media and Media Products Association.
