Billie Zöckler

Sybille "Billie" Zöckler (born January 18, 1949 in Celle ; † October 18, 2019 in Munich ) was a German actress .

Life

After her training at the Munich procession theater with Alexeij Sagerer , Zöckler began her career there and with the theater collective Rote Rübe, at the Stadttheater Basel and at other stages. In 1982, the director Helmer von Lützelburg used the 1.54 m tall actress in his comedies Die Nacht des Schicksals and Neonstadt - Episode Star for the first time in film.

Billie Zöckler became known in 1984 as Mimi Schrillmann in the satire In heaven hell is going on . Other roles followed, for example in the series Kir Royal as secretary Edda Pfaff. For this she received the sponsorship award of the city of Munich for the performing arts.

Doris Dörrie cast her in 1989 as the clumsy bank robber "Carmen" in the comedy Money , in Xaver Schwarzenberger's literary film The Next Man Everything Will Be Different , she was seen as "Birgit Döpp". Then Billie Zöckler also played in French and Italian productions.

In 2015 Zöckler played the role of Tipi in Eric Dean Hordes' fantasy horror comedy Goblin - This is Real Troll alongside Helmut Krauss and Katy Karrenbauer . The film was not released until 2019. Also in 2019, Zöckler stood in front of the camera for director Hordes for the dramedy series Patchwork Gangsta alongside Stefan Mocker and Santiago Ziesmer .

Zöckler suffered from a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and committed suicide in October 2019 in her apartment in Schwabing at the age of 70 years suicide .
