history

The diocese Callao was on April 29, 1967 by Pope Paul VI. Established with the Apostolic Constitution Aptiorem Ecclesiarum dispositionem from cessions of territory from the Archdiocese of Cuzco and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Lima as a suffragan .
