Björn Weikl (born February 9, 1977 in Düsseldorf ) is a German soccer player and coach in the service of the Liechtenstein second division regional club FC Triesenberg .

Career

Weikl moved from his youth club SC Düsseldorf-West via TuRU 1880 to Fortuna Düsseldorf , for which he played until December 2002. During the winter break he switched to Sportfreunde Siegen , where he was under contract until 2008. Among other things, he played 29 games in the 2nd Bundesliga for the sports fans . From the 2008/09 season, Weikl played for two years with Wuppertaler SV Borussia in the third division and after the club's relegation in 2010 two more years in the fourth-class Regionalliga West . Björn Weikl has been a player- coach at FC Triesenberg 2nd League Regional Switzerland in Liechtenstein since summer 2012 .

Björn Weikl is the son of Josef Weikl .
