Brand New Day debuted on October 11, 2000 at number one on the German album charts, where it was placed for 51 weeks. In the United Kingdom, the album reached number 5 on the album charts there. The sound carrier debuted on the Billboard 200 on October 16, 1999 at number 15. On September 2, 2000, Brand New Day reached ninth place in the charts in the 47th week of the chart. The sound carrier also reached the top of the charts in Austria, Finland and Norway.
