Postage stamp issues of the French zone in Germany

After the Second World War , southwest Germany was under French administration as the French occupation zone from April 1945 . From December 1945 a new series with 13 definitive stamps was issued. From spring 1947 local editions of the four regions of Baden , Württemberg-Hohenzollern and Rhineland-Palatinate as well as Saarland followed .
