Remarks

  1. Originally 1,030,500 copies were printed; however, the stamps were withdrawn on the day of sale due to complaints, and most of them were declared invalid and officially destroyed; a sale at the counter did not take place, but a remaining amount was put into circulation.
  2. The brand previously listed under Michel number 41 (Potschta) has now been given the new number BI, as Mr. Wolfgang Strobel was able to prove that this brand could never be used regularly. See "Wolfgang Strobel, The Potschta mark in Dresden 1945" in circular 72 of the German Emergency Measures Association from 1945 eV
