Bruno Vrcic (born November 24, 2000 in Munich ) is a German basketball player .

Life

Born in Munich, of Croatian descent, he played for the youth of TS Jahn Munich and MTSV Schwabing , and later also for the MTSV men's team in the regional league. For the International Basketball Academy Munich , which is affiliated to the MTSV , he took part in the game operations of the youth basketball league . In 2016 he switched to the youth division of FC Bayern Munich . In 2017 and 2019 he became German U19 champions with FC Bayern. In 2019 he was the captain of the championship team and received the award as the best player of the final tournament. From spring 2017 Vrcic was also used in the second men's team of Munich in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB .

In summer 2019 he signed a two-year contract with Bundesliga club Skyliners Frankfurt .

National team

In 2016 he took part in the European Championships in Poland with the German U16 national team and was the third best German scorer with 9.3 points per match. In spring 2018 he won the Albert Schweitzer tournament with the U18 selection , but was not used in the final. He was part of the German squad for the U18 European Championship 2018 and won the bronze medal at the U20 European Championship in summer 2019. He contributed 9.7 points per game to third place.
