Caitrin Rogers

Caitrin Rogers (* in Pittsfield , Massachusetts ) is an American film producer and editor . At the 2014 Academy Awards she received the Oscar in the Best Documentary Film category for the documentary 20 Feet from Stardom .

Life

She grew up in Pittsfield and attended Northfield Mount Hermon School , where she graduated in 2000. After graduation, she moved to Los Angeles and worked as a film editor for companies like MTV , VH1 and Disney . In 2005 she cut soccer from the other planet - The Story of Cosmos New York .

She made her first film as a producer in 2007 for Passion Pictures with Once in a Lifetime . In 2014, she and Morgan Neville and Gil Friesen received the Oscar for the documentary 20 Feet from Stardom in the category Best Documentary .

In 2018 she was appointed to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences , which awards the Oscars every year.
