Cape May County is a county in the state of New Jersey . The county seat is Cape May Court House .

The county is located in the extreme south of New Jersey, borders the Atlantic Ocean to the east and southeast and has an area of ​​1607 square kilometers, of which 946 square kilometers are water.

According to the 2000 census , the county had 102,326 people. There were 42,148 households and 27,354 families. The population density was 155 inhabitants per square kilometer. The racial the population was composed of 91.57% White, 5.06% African American, 0.18% Native American, 0.65% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, and 1.35% other races Groups; 1.16% were from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race was 3.30% of the population.
