Carl Abrahamsson
Karl Gustaf Emanuel "Carl, Calle Aber" Abrahamsson (born May 1, 1896 in Södertälje ; † December 25, 1948 there ) was a Swedish ice hockey player . His brother Erik Abrahamsson was also a professional ice hockey player.
Career
At club level, Carl Abrahamsson played exclusively for his hometown club Södertälje SK . From 1924 to 1934 he competed with his team in the Swedish championship . In 1925 and 1931 he won the national championship title with Södertälje.
International
For Sweden Abrahamsson took part in the 1928 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz , where he and his team won the silver medal. As the best European team at the Winter Olympics, he and his team won the European championship. He was also in his country's squad at the 1931 World Cup and the 1932 European Championship . At the EM in 1932 he was again European champion with Sweden.
